David was born in Jourdanton, Texas on February 15, 1957, he started playing the accordion when he was 6 years old, later formed his band along with his brother Adam and his proud father Antonio "Tony" Garza.

David was taught to play the accordion by his father Antonio "Tony" Garza . David began playing the three (3) row accordion and then asked his father for a bigger challenge . At the age of 15 years old David was suprised on his birthday with his first chromatic (5 row) accordian.

David has since then accepted the challenge of playing more than one type of accordian and has developed his own unique sound which can be recognized as soon as it's heard on the radio. David has recorded with numerous other artist in the Tejano industry.David has also composed songs and instrumental polkas in his previous and recent recordings David has numerous awards for his acccordion playing starting with the Tejano Music Awards- industry award -Musician of the Year-Accordion 1993, to other prestigueous awards presented to David throughout his career. Today David enjoys being recognized as one of the top artist in the Tejano industry. David has been a consistent household name in the industry for more than 20 years and continues to accept the challenges and changes in the music scenes.
