Todavia No Me Muero was recorded after breaking into the Onda Chicana circuit with Cuatro Caminos album. This album was also recorded at Hacienda Studios by Arnold Garcia.

David Lee Garza also had support from a fellow musician and compadre Roberto Pulido. Roberto took David Lee Garza and Los Musicales on tour with his band Los Classicos. Touring with Roberto gave Los Musicales a confidence boost and a taste of what was to come in the years ahead.
